Summary
We are looking for an Aquatics Co-ordinator to be responsible for the successful running, development, and management of our Swim Vision programme. This role entails the continued development of the Swim Vision programme, in line with the Aquatics Managers development plan, as well as Swim England guidance and innovations, to ensure we offer an inclusive, exciting, and engaging offering for all our customers.
Vision currently operates across three swimming pools based at our Fullwell Cross, Mayfield and Loxford Leisure centres. We also operate at an external pool based in Caterham High School. Our programme extends across both daytime and evening requiring the successful candidate to work on a Working full-time Flexi – Rota consisting of two to three evening shifts, two to three-day shifts and every other weekend.
Job requirements:
Line management of Vision Staff including recruitment, training, reviews, development, annual leave, sickness and return to work interviews, organising cover, as well as contract changes.
Continued development, management, and utilising further opportunities to improve our Swim Vision lesson programme offering.
Monitoring lesson capacity and occupancy in line with KPIs for Aquatics Manager to review and report.
Ensuring the Swim Vision team comply with Health and Safety, Risk Assessments and Vision policies to provide a safe environment for all.
Be at the forefront of our customer relations to ensure our customer journey is exceptional throughout. This includes dealing with any queries or complaints passed on by the Aquatics administrator.
Supporting Swim Vision staff with the delivery of lessons through observations and mentoring of staff members but also covering where necessary to minimise disruption to the Swim Vision programme and our customers.
Essential requirements:
- An ASA/SE Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification or equivalent, with knowledge of learn-to-swim pathways.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a swimming instructor, although it would be more desirable for the post holder to have longer experience as an instructor or some experience as a swimming/aquatic coordinator.
- Understanding of Health and Safety and Safeguarding legislation
