Summary

Type: Casual positions available.

Fairlop outdoor activity centre is currently looking for energetic Watersport instructors to join our team to help run our successful summer season.

Fairlop waters is 40 acres of water surrounded by natural surroundings with two islands located in the middle of the lake. The centre is Royal Yachting Association and British Canoeing approval as well as being licensed by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority. The site is also home to our Hospitality Venue – The Boat House which serves food and drink all day.

Working alongside our team, you will be delivering lessons to customers of all ages in a safe and fun manner. You will be teaching a range of sessions from beginners as well as monitoring the safety of experienced water sports users. The sessions include canoeing, kayaking, raft building, stand up paddle boarding and sailing.

The centre is open weekdays, evening and weekends and will require you to work a varied shift pattern to help create lasting memories to the residents of the London Borough of Redbridge, and those further afield.

Job requirements: Must have at least one of the below qualifications:

RYA Dinghy Instructor
BCU UKCC Level 2 Paddle Sport Coach.
BCU Level 2 Canoe/Kayak Coach.

Essential requirements:

A valid First Aid Certificate.
RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification.
Excellent customer service.
High levels of focus and concentration.

Desirable requirements:

RYA Safety Boat qualification
Experience of working at a busy outdoor water sports centre.
