Summary


Exciting opportunities have arisen following a review of provision of mental health services for older people at West London NHS Trust. We are in the fortunate position of transforming and expanding our service to meet the needs of older people with mild to moderate mental health needs.

We are looking for a Community Mental Health Nurse (band 6), to join our Older People’s Mental Health (OPMHS) team in Hounslow. We want to hear from you if you are dedicated, flexible, forward thinking with clinical skills and experience in working therapeutically with older people with mental health difficulties and physical healthcare issues.

If you are interested to join a team of enthusiastic and committed professionals in delivering the NHS Long Term Plan for Older Adults Mental Health services (2019), this will be an ideal role for you.



The post holder will work under the supervision of a B7 Senior Practitioner. The post holder will carry a defined caseload of patients. They will utilise their clinical knowledge and skills in the assessment and care of Older Adults with functional mental health problems in the community. They will work within a multi-disciplinary team to undertake the facilitation of groups and individual therapeutic activities.

The post holder will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff and students as well as contributing to departmental and Trust improvement projects.
