Summary
Classic Car Panel Beater / Panel Technician
We are currently recruiting for a Panel Beater in the Farnham area. Our Client has a requirement for a Panel Beater to join their team of Bodyshop Professionals
Our Client, an Automotive Classic Car Restoration Business is seeking a skilled Panel Beater / Panel Technician to complement their existing team of Panel Beaters.
What they require from the successful Panel Beater
- Prior experience (5 or more years) of classic car ‘nut and bolt’ restoration
- A previous working experience within a Panel Beater / Panel Technician role.
- ATA would be advantageous to your application
- Full Panel Beater qualifications to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- An efficient and hard-working Panel Beater with good attention to detail
- A good communicator
Typical duties of a Panel Beater for our Client
- Full restoration of classic cars either from supplied new chassis or rebuilt original.
- Time Estimates for professional and bespoke panel and paint work.
- General panel beating and vehicle finishing.
- Making of panels and formers from flat sheets using an English wheel and other sheet metal tools
- Preparation of cars for bodywork/panel beating and paintwork.
- Representing the company to a professional level at trade shows and exhibitions from time to time.
- Working with all members of the team to ensure that the business runs efficiently, safely and that the workshop and customers’ cars are kept clean at all times
- Keeping time sheet records that explain clearly and accurately the work carried out in customers cars.
- Working as a team with the staff, contributing and participating to the company project management system.
- Liaising with customers from time to time to discuss potential and work in progress on their cars.
- Further classic car skills such as painting and mechanic would be a bonus but are not mandatory.
The salary of this Panel Beater role is up to £28,000 - £43,000.
As a Panel Beater for our client, you can expect to work Monday - Friday ONLY!
