Summary

Part time, 23 hours per week. Night shifts. Shifts are 19.30 to 07.30 on a rota basis over 7 days. With a 30 minutes unpaid break.

Basic hourly rate - £11.80 per hour, with the potential to earn up to £13.80 per hour with enhancements.

A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday to Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Hill House is a residential care facility for 24 adults with physical disabilities. Our home is located in Sandbach, Cheshire.

Previous experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, or similar role is desirable but not essential. We offer an excellent training and induction programme for all new team members!

As a Support Worker at Leonard Cheshire, you will become an integral part of our fantastic team. Each day presents new challenges, but here are just some of the responsibilities you will have:

• Assisting with daily tasks including personal care, medication administration, and mealtimes.
• Providing escort and assistance both within the service and at external events and appointments.
• Supporting our Person-Centred approach by promoting independence and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Be flexible and creative in your approach to working with customers and their families.
• Preferably have previous experience in personal care (although this is not essential).
• Be able to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
• Be willing to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota when required.
