We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Multi Skilled Workshop (Construction) Tutor based in our Wolverhampton centre.

Nova Training is one of the UK’s most popular and experienced training providers operating for over 30 years in Study Programmes and Apprenticeships. Nova now operates its 14-24 provision from 13 locations located across the West Midlands and East of England.

Our programme delivery now includes; 16-18 study programmes, pre-apprenticeships, provision for learners with high needs, apprenticeships and 14-16 alternative provision.

Rated as Good by Ofsted in all areas of provision for offering a variety of education options to young people.

As a Multi Skilled Workshop tutor you will be required to carry out all duties in accordance with the Education Inspection Framework requirements and organisational processes and policies.

Key Responsibilities;

Developing and delivering engaging and effective construction-related courses,
ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.

To have the ability to deliver City & Guilds 6219 Construction Skills qualification.
Designing and implementing lesson plans that incorporate hands-on learning
experiences to enhance students' practical skills.

Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans and resources
are prepared prior to learners attending.

Monitoring student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement
strategies to address individual learning needs.

Supervising and guiding students during practical activities, emphasising safety and
best practices in the construction industry.

Developing and administering assessments to measure students' understanding and
mastery of construction concepts.

Providing timely and constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and
assessments.

Experience & Qualifications;

Full Teaching Qualification I.e. Cert Ed, C&G 7307 or working towards
Proven experience in the construction industry, with a solid understanding of
industry standards and practices.

Level 2 literacy and numeracy skills
Level 3 or above in the Construction related trade area.
Design exciting, inspiring lessons that encourage high levels of achievement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and
motivate students.

Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual learner needs.
Effective organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks,
deadlines, and responsibilities.he ability to inspire, motivate, and guide learners
toward successful outcomes.

A genuine passion for education and a commitment to empowering learners to excel.
Current full UK Drivers licence (with full access to a vehicle)
