Technical Area: PIC microcontroller coding in C, Circuit Design, Analogue, Digital, Altium
Our client runs a thriving business designing and manufacturing safety-critical electronic and electromechanical devices for harsh environments.
The Job
As Electronic Design & Software Design Engineer, you will join a team working on projects to design circuits and develop software, integrating these into mechanical housings ready for testing and manufacture.
Technical responsibilities:
• PIC microcontroller design using C
• Prototyping and Breadboarding
• PCB layout design using Altium
• Design for CE marking, EMC and Low Voltage Directive
• Test and validation internally and with third-party approval bodies
About You
We seek the following skills and experience:
• HNC/HND/Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design using Altium or similar
• Programming skills in C for PIC 8-bit & 16-bit microcontrollers
• Knowledge of Assembler for legacy products is advantageous
Desirable Skills
• Understanding of hazardous location electronics
• Design experience with wide temperature range products
