Contract Length: Anticipated 18 months
Location: West Berkshire – hybrid working – minimum 3 days onsite
We are seeking an Engineer with design experience working within a highly regulated industry. The role involves ensuring that Engineering Requirements are appropriate, advising Senior Engineering Management accordingly. This includes identifying options, selecting suitable solutions, and providing facility design solutions that meet business needs, functional performance, through life performance, listenability, and deliverability for allocated work packages. It's essential to maintain Design Intent and Design Information Configuration throughout the facility design process, from inception to project handover.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide the facility design solution being the lead engineering representative on the project
Deliver integrated facility designs, with appropriate safety documentation.
Assess the suitability of the facility design for the next phase of the lifecycle (e.g. tender; construction; commissioning; handover).
Recommend the budget and programme, to the Senior Engineering Manager, to deliver design.
Assess the suitability of engineering design resources to execute facility design.
Lead, drive, communicate and deliver Facility Designs, with due regard to safety, quality, schedule, cost effectiveness and lifetime value for money.
Maintain oversight of the facility design as it develops via routine reviews.
Key requirements:
Mechanical, electrical or building services engineering background with design experience
Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels
Experience within a highly regulated industry
Ability to capture engineering requirements and produce technical documentation and specifications.
