Summary


An opportunity has arisen for a Nursing Assistant to join one of our friendly & enthusiastic Outpatient teams. We are dedicated to giving a high standard of care within our busy Outpatient department.

The successful applicant will be working in collaboration with registered nurses. Applicants should be flexible, well organised with a professional, friendly manner & have excellent communication skills. They should be able to use their own judgement to resolve issues, and have a tactful, sensitive approach to dealing with occasional difficult situations.

They should be able to work well under pressure with a flexible approach to work, with a willingness to suggest ideas for improvements.

Nursing Assistants - Specialist Surgery Outpatients (ENT / Plastic Surgery OPD)



An opportunity has arisen for a Nursing Assistant to join one of our friendly & enthusiastic Outpatient teams. We are dedicated to giving a high standard of care within our busy Outpatient departments for ENT (ear, nose & Throat) & Plastic surgery and Support our ENT clinics in the community.

Ensure patients are appropriately supported during their time in hospital and in the community clinics. Ensure covid 19 policies and safety distance is respected. After appropriate training measure and accurately record: Temperature, Pulse, Respiration Rate, Blood Pressure, Weight. To undertake phlebotomy and ECG procedures (once competency training has been achieved) in accordance with policy, as requested by medical and nursing personnel. Undertake ‘in house’ OUH decontamination training for the care of endoscopes used within the department. Escort patients to toilet as necessary. Support the registered nursing staff in maintaining patients’ hygiene needs as necessary within the department.

NVQ qualifications in health & social care would be desirable however this should not deter applicants who do not have this specific experience as support and training will be given. We hope to see you grow your career with us.

Support the registered nursing staff in maintaining patients’ hygiene needs as necessary within the department. Supporting clinicians donning and doffing properly and safely.

Support clinicians at the ENT peripheral clinics.
