Summary

This role is working 38 weeks per year during school term time plus 2 weeks INSET plus 6 weeks holiday to be taken during school closure periods. We will never be the biggest, but we will lead, and others will follow.About the role:As a Teaching Assistant at Leaways School, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will support the class teacher to promote positive behaviour, you will understand learning objectives, content and intended outcomes for the learning activities in which students are involved and you will support monitoring student progress. You will be part of a key team around the young person in order to maintain consistent support, communication and updated support plans.About you:For this role, we are looking for someone who has experience of working as a TA within an ASC/SEN/SEMH setting, a passion for supporting young people to learn and develop but more importantly, someone who wants to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. The school provides a safe learning environment for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs including autism and an EHC Plan. We also have a dedicated primary unit taking children from 7 years old.
