As one of the largest social care agencies in the UK, Brook Street Social Care have some exciting short- and long-term opportunities for Support Workers within homelessness services and hostels.
You will be working as part of a team to assist clients and staff with everyday tasks including:
- Supporting in searching for a home / setting up tenancy.
- Admin work around supporting with budgeting, rent, benefits and more.
- Enhancing individual life skills.
- Support to develop emotional wellbeing and coping strategies improving Mental Health and resilience
- Record keeping.
- Assist in arranging appointments with relevant professionals involved in the clients support.
- Ensure a high quality of service delivery meeting KPI's and quality standards.
Experiences required are:
- Able to work on own initiative. - Able to travel around the region.
- Computer literate.
- Understanding and knowledge.
- Knowledge and understanding of housing provision.
- Knowledge of issues surrounding alcohol and substance misuse.
