Summary
Full time Live in or out Housekeeper required in Lambourn Woodlands Berkshire 833288
Energetic, flexible and discreet individual sought by family to work with House Manager/Butler and other private household staff. Previous housekeeping experience essential. Duties include cleaning, preparation of bedrooms and bathrooms, fine laundry and ironing, clothes care, care of antiques and silver, etc. to a high standard; and very occasionally assisting with serving at table.
The style of the property is a Manor House with 9 bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and two cottages. It is a formal home but is warm and friendly.
Hours: 39 hours per week minimum, including weekends and some bank holidays when the family and friends are in residence.
Typical weekday hours when the family are not in residence are 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Weekend work is usually divided into split shifts of 8.00 am to 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm (with Tuesday and Wednesday taken off in lieu of weekends as appropriate) but there is flexibility.
Accommodation: Separate accommodation if required - a two-bedroom cottage (one double room and one smaller room) with sitting room, kitchen and bathroom, and small, secluded garden.
