A vacancy has risen for a Retail Catering Supervisor to join a small friendly team within our Catering Production department at Selby

The role primarily involves independently running a busy café , as you will report to a manager based in York , and will be required to be hands on working with the team and ensuring staff are inspired and motivated to deliver best service to customers and adhering to the service steps.

The post holder will be at the forefront of the implementation of the actions from the business /operational plan for Selby which involves changing the offer to a Subway styled offer and also introducing hot concepts like noodle bar and shawarma bar.

Main Duties include but not limited to
• The role involves supervising a small team in a busy cafe and working on the tills, serving customers on the hot counter, preparing food for the deli and hot counter, cleaning and making coffee.
• The role may involve covering supervisory shifts in York Hospital when required.
• You will be required to place orders for all supplies, liaise with suppliers and conduct regular food safety and health and safety audits and ensuring food safety, health and safety and quality standards are consistently maintained,
• You will complete weekly/ monthly paperwork and may be required to attend meetings to discuss matters /issues pertaining to Selby retail catering.
