Summary
This is a newly created senior position within Capita Public Services (CPS). This role will be responsible for leading the HSE, wellbeing and safeguarding strategy and delivery across the division and Capita UK Operations.
The role will work closely with the leadership team, Directors, Managers, staff, and internal and external clients, to raise awareness of HSE and ensure that risks are fully managed in a proactive way and in line with compliance.
What you'll be doing:
• Owning and maintaining strategy, policy, procedures, and governance related to HSE across all UK Capita operations in all 3 divisions as part of a country led model.
• Transforming and improving HSE across Capita Public Services
• Collaborating with subject matter experts on all aspects of the safeguarding agenda
• Working with colleagues to develop, implement and maintain the Wellbeing roadmap for CPS
• Leading and managing Business unit HSE Managers and specialists across the CPS portfolio, ensuring delivery of the HSE and business objectives.
• Ensuring that all HSE related corporate legal and statutory compliance requirements are met
• Conducting audits and working closely with HSE leads to ensure that all sites adhere to H&S as well as Capita's policies and procedures.
What we're looking for:
• Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
• NEBOSH NVQ, Diploma or Degree Qualified.
• Experience of HSE leadership in a complex organisation, which includes the construction environment.
• Outstanding knowledge and understanding of H&S legislative and statutory requirements.
• CDM - full understanding of the regulations
• Expert in ISO45001 and ISO14001
• The ability to obtain SC
• Flexibility to travel to Capita sites across the UK
