Fessey House is not your “traditional” care home. Our 68-bed home comprises of 6 individual purpose-built units, each of which include a kitchen, lounge and dining room.

Our service users are aged 65+, all with a cognitive impairment such as Dementia. It is a unique, modern environment, recently extended, with vast landscaped gardens and communal activity rooms for our residents to enjoy.

Your next role

As a Care Assistant, you will complement our friendly team, supporting our individuals to gain the best outcome for them to live the life they deserve here with us.

We pride ourselves on the person-centred approach we have for supporting both our individuals and their families.

Full training will be given to allow you to develop in the role as you to work towards gaining an NVQ level 2 or 3 Care Certificate or Health and Social Care if hot currently held.

Experience of working with elderly people either formal or informal is essential, along with an awareness of Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.

We offer a mixture of shift patterns including “earlies” (8:00am start) and “lates” (9:30pm finish) or “nights” (9:30pm to 8:00am) on a rolling 2-week rota with a requirement to work every other weekend.

Fessey House is located on Brookdene in Haydon Wick, easily accessible by bus between Orbital Shopping Park and Park North on the number 5 service or between Taw Hill and Middle Wichel on the number 11 service.

Must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role)”.
