We are working closely with a primary school that exudes a joyful and energetic atmosphere, providing its students with remarkable learning and growth opportunities. They are currently searching for a year 1 class teacher. As the teacher, you will be responsible for teaching engaging, challenging lessons that foster accomplishment and instil a lifelong passion for learning.
The curriculum is well-structured, abundant in content, and progressive, enabling students to reach their highest potential. You will join a positive and successful team where emphasis is placed on professional growth.
Your role will include but is not limited to:
- Provide a stimulating, challenging, well-organised and inspiring classroom environment.
- Set clear, measurable targets to ensure children's learning progresses.
- Keep efficient tracking and progression records, including formative and summative assessment.
- Report to parents on the development, attainment, and progress of their child.
- Manage behaviour through positive reinforcement and role-modelling.
- Participate in meetings as and when required.
- Lead, direct, and communicate effectively with support staff within the classroom.
Requirements
- Must possess QTS
- Knowledge of applying a range of teaching strategies to meet the differing needs of children.
- A valid in-date Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service)
- Clear and robust behaviour management skills.
