Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Care assistant to join our team, at our friendly home for 20 elderly residents in Middleton, Manchester.
The ideal person will have compassion, empathy, and good effective communication skills. Alongside facilitating care to our residents, senior care assistants must also have:-
NVQ level 3 [or working towards]
Administration of medicines training
Good understanding of relevant policies
Ability to deal with professionals at various levels
Relevant previous experience in care and at a senior level
Brilliant organisational skills
Assistance with daily living, providing support and companionship
Facilitating personal care ensuring dignity and privacy
Assistance with eating and drinking, maintaining as much independence as possible
Follow and produce care records to reflect our residents’ current care needs
Work under direction from Team Leader and manager
Adhere to Health & Safety and Fire Procedures
Work safely within company policies, seeking advice and guidance when necessary
Maintain hygiene and safety standards at the most appropriate level
Please note a DBS [Enhanced] check will be needed due to the nature of the work
