Summary
Reporting to: Group Technical Manager and Product Reliability & Approvals Manager
Location: Crawley

Role Profile:
As part of the Group Technical Team, the Test Engineer will be responsible for carrying out routine performance and approvals testing, and experimental development testing throughout the New Product Development process. This will include air testing, safety testing, heat recovery/ thermal efficiency testing.
You’ll be working closely with the design team to support continuous improvements and new product developments of our product range.
The role would suit a candidate with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, lab experience, product testing (air, thermal, safety etc), with the aptitude to improve aspects of our products - existing and new.
As the Test Engineer, your areas of responsibility will include;
Product Performance Tests
Acoustic Tests
Electrical Tests on products for compliance with the current standards
To report on areas where non-compliance is found and to follow up with the Design / In market product (IMP) teams
To provide Technical input into the New product Development
Verifying published data against measured results
To maintain accurate and up-to-date test records
To be successful in this role you will require:
Suitable bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent qualification and/or experience having completed an appropriate apprenticeship / training, or have proven work related experience.
Product testing and existing/ new product development (design)
Methodical with attention to detail is essential
Computer literate with good appreciation of MS Office applications including Excel
A team player who will be prepared to learn and develop new skills
Working within teams to resolve problems constructively and effectively.
Ability to analyse and review data
Will be experienced in workshop / lab practices
