Summary

We are seeking an Electrical CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed electrical drawings and plans using CAD software (AutoCAD). You will work closely with contract managers, engineers and designers to ensure that electrical schemes are accurately represented in construction projects.

This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment whilst being able to work independently.

Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams using CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Interpret technical documents and specifications to accurately represent electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all designs.
• Modify and revise drawings as necessary to accommodate changes and updates.
• Coordinate with other departments to integrate electrical designs with overall project plans.
• Provide support during the construction and implementation phases of projects.
• Maintain organised files and documentation for all drawings and designs.
• Assist in the development of design standards and best practices for electrical CAD work.

Requirements:
• Proven experience working as an Electrical CAD Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD LT or similar programs.
• Good understanding of electrical principles, components, and systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
