Summary


Within a shared governance framework, the post holder will provide direction for the future of nursing through practice development and education, reflecting the strategic changes in nursing. Through a process of work-based competencies, the post holder will provide continuing support to all grades of staff in their delivery of nursing care packages, in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and medical colleagues.
• Assume the role of ‘Facilitator’ to the Medical Ward areas teams/staff providing support for continuing clinical and professional development in the workplace.
• Be responsible for the continuing development of evolving competency-based frameworks for Registered Nurses, Registered Nurse Associate, Apprentice Nurse Associates, and Health Care Assistants in monitoring and evaluating its effectiveness.
• Through this process of work-based competencies, the post holder will provide continuing support to all Bands of clinical staff in their delivery of nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Through a process of support/supervision enable the medical area’s staff/teams to assess, prescribe/develop, implement, and evaluate standards/programmes of care, providing advice and support to develop methods to evaluate care delivered where
required.
