Summary

This Role: Head of Employability

Salary: Up to £65k per annum dependent on experience

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: Full Time (37.5 hrs pw)

Location: Remote but with frequent travel to multiple locations across the UK required

As the Head of Employability, you will oversee the operational activities across multiple sites and contracts, ensuring they meet Standguide's performance, quality, compliance, and profitability targets. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic operational plans to support Standguide’s growth objectives, including forecasting, resource allocation, and departmental management. Close collaboration with the Chief Operations Officer and Operations Managers will be essential for achieving these goals.

What you’ll do

Perform employee reviews and develop corrective action plans if needed according to evaluations and interpretations of data
Maintain and grow business partnerships and relationships with clients
Develop and implement strategies, procedures and business plans needed to enhance company growth
Propose and implement changes to operational processes in conjunction with other teams and the Risk management function to ensure maximal utilisation and productivity of the teams that report to the role
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
Attend and ensure that periodic performance management meetings occur and are properly documented and that these set stretching but achievable targets following a thorough interrogation of performance
Ensure that all company Quality Assurance systems and procedures are adhered to and where required meet given deadlines. Understand the requirements of Ofsted, matrix, I I P and ensure that all staff adhere to these processes. Oversee the self-assessment process and ‘drive forward’ the completion of the associated improvement plan
·Work to and achieve financial, performance and quality targets as agreed with Senior Management Team (SMT). Agree and work within budgets set by the SMT and manage resources in line with budgets
Analyse and monitor monthly performance data in respect of referrals, starters, retention, qualifications, and job starts and outcomes. Implement action plans to address areas of development or concern, after analysis.
What you’ll need

Degree in a business-related discipline (Desirable)
3+ years’ knowledge & experience in the Employability Sector
Accurate record keeping, filing, and recording information using word processing spreadsheets and databases
Skilled in report creation / writing
Excellent understanding of the dynamics of business corporate law, and corporate finance.
Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
