Health Care Assistant – Band 2

Full Time – 37.5 hours -Internal rotation

We are keen to attract Healthcare Assistants who are looking for new challenges and opportunities. Our Emergency Departments are extremely busy; you’ll be exposed to caring for different groups of patients in Majors, Minors, Resus, Triage, and Paediatrics and in the Clinical Decision Unit.



We are looking for experienced Health Care Assistants; hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of NVQ2 two in health and social care or the equivalent.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a Two Day Induction course, which will include all the Trust statutory/Mandatory training to join our team inviting them to share their knowledge and experience with the ward; you will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal professional development.



We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship and clinical supervision on the ward and are committed to professional development of all staff. Team working is an integral part of this ward with all staff enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patients.

The Health Care Assistant (Band 2) is a member of the care team who will support Registered Practitioner in the delivery of routine patient care. The Health Care Assistant will undertake a broad range of care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Practitioner. The Health care Assistant (Band 2) will also work closely and under supervision of the Health Care Assistant (Band 3) and where relevant Associate Practitioners
