Sight Support Hull and East Yorkshire is the leading local charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by sight loss in our community. We provide a range of essential services, including practical and emotional support, advocacy, and social and leisure opportunities, to empower visually impaired individuals to live independently. Our mission is to ensure that nobody faces sight loss alone, and through our dedicated team and partnerships, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of visually impaired children and adults across Hull and East Yorkshire.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Community Fundraiser to join our team and help drive our fundraising efforts to support our vital services. The Community Fundraiser will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with individuals, community groups, and businesses within Hull and East Yorkshire, with the aim of increasing awareness and generating income to sustain and expand our programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative fundraising strategies to engage the local community and meet fundraising targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing supporters, while actively seeking opportunities to identify and cultivate new supporters.
- Organize and manage a diverse range of fundraising events and campaigns, including but not limited to sponsored challenges, community fairs, and corporate partnerships.
- Provide excellent stewardship to donors and supporters, ensuring they feel valued and informed about the impact of their contributions.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to develop compelling fundraising materials, including newsletters, appeals, and social media content.
- Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, tracking progress against targets and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in fundraising, preferably within the charity sector, with a proven track record of achieving fundraising targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative fundraising ideas and campaigns.
- Passionate about the mission and values of Sight Support Hull and East Yorkshire, with a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of visually impaired people.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
