About You
We deliver educational programmes nationwide and we are looking for English and/or mathematics tutors to work during term-time only. These are part-time positions at various locations (Exeter, Gloucester, Bristol, Twickenham and Northampton).

You will have excellent communication skills and great rapport building ability. This will help you not only to support our learners, but also to explore new opportunities. You’ll be highly organised, with demonstrated planning and time-management skills (supported by good IT skills). You will also need:

PGCE/Cert in Education or L5 Diploma in Education and Training.
Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in your specialist subject/s and a minimum of Level 2 in English and mathematics.
Experience of teaching English and/or mathematics up to Level 2 and/or GCSE.
Effective skills in managing conflict and maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


About the Role
As an English and/or mathematics tutor you will be able to effectively design, plan and deliver inspirational programmes of learning that support learners to achieve the highest academic standards.

You will deliver interactive teaching sessions that are practical in nature which aim to build vocational confidence whilst developing employability and social skills. You will enable learners to achieve accredited qualifications up to and including Level 2 English and/or mathematics in Functional Skills and GCSE.

The right candidate for this role will be able to:

Assist in the organisation of internal assessments and external examinations.
Contribute to course review processes, curriculum development and quality assurance in keeping with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
Effectively meet the needs of individual learners and support their success on their programme of learning.
Safeguarding responsibilities:

This role will involve daily contact with learners, and you will be engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
All staff and volunteers have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, and/or vulnerable adults for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
