Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Team Manager to join a busy multidisciplinary teams at HMP Forest Bank.

The post holder will practice independently and autonomously delivering care and treatment to patients at HMP Forest Bank. The post holder will have gained a wide range of knowledge and clinical skills in a Primary care setting.

In conjunction with the management team, the post holder will contribute to and deliver a comprehensive primary care health service in partnership with mental health and key stakeholders as part of a multidisciplinary team within the prison setting.

Support the Head of Healthcare in operationally leading the provision of high-quality clinical health care services ensuring a consistent and co-ordinated approach to the delivery of quality evidence-based practice.

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the Primary Care Team and will ensure that the delegation of work to the team takes account of the role, skills and competence of staff and is appropriate to their scope of practice. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding of health issues and treatment options to provide clinical guidance to all staff on matters relating to physical health and well being. The post holder carries continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards of care within a secure environment.

The post holder will exercise advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in clinical care demonstrated through the advanced competency framework. The post holder will ensure a high level of performance within the team is maintained, by participating in audit, Health and Justice Performance indicators and NHS data collection activity.
