Summary


This is an exiting opportunity for an experienced community nurse with excellent clinical skills to join the Adult Community Nursing Service at Homerton Healthcare. The service provides a range of services including Tissue Viability, Adult Continence Services, Single Point of Access and District Nursing to the residents of City and Hackney.

We are looking for someone who has good verbal and non verbal communication skills, enthusiasm and a passion for the professional development of others. The post holder will need to be able to perform in situ simulation in peoples homes and clinic settings, organise and run training sessions both face to face and virtually and keep themselves up to date with the latest best practice.

This is a new role and demonstrates the services commitment to ensure that staff have the knowledge and skills to do their roles to the full scope of their practice to provide outstanding care to the population they serve and to support them to meet their individual career aspirations.

The post-holder will participate in the development and implementation of Clinical Practice and ensuring clinical staff have the clinical skills and education to provide safe and effective patient care.

The successful candidate will plan and implement learning programmes to meet specific service needs. Delivering regular learning programmes to large groups, one-to-one learning and bespoke clinical skills when necessary, as directed by the Professional Development Nurse or Lead Nurse for Quality and Improvement.

Provide support during in-situ simulation sessions within clinical settings which will include patients homes, care homes and clinic settings.

To ensure that practice is evidence based and that policies, guidelines and procedures are implemented and adhered to.

To work with managers and staff to ensure that clinical care is monitored, and that best practice is promoted.
