MACS CPL Support Worker Opportunity

MACS are currently looking to recruit creative, caring, and motivated Care & Playful Learning Support Workers to join our out of school care settings across East Renfrewshire and Glasgow.

We currently have various vacancies and hours available from Monday – Friday, working in the following areas:

• Barrhead
• Clarkston
• Neilston
• Newton Mearns
• Scotstoun

*AM hours are 7.45am - 9am
*PM hours range from 2.45/3pm until 6pm, term time

The Role

Support workers at MACS provide nurture, care, and support to children in a fun and rewarding environment. You will be responsible to the senior team who will provide any guidance required to support you in your role. The role of a CPL Support worker at MACS is to provide quality experiences which are fun, stimulating, and creative. As part of our #MACSFamily you will also promote nurture, inclusion, and individual choice, whilst supporting development and learning.

As a SSSC registered professional you are expected to uphold the Codes of Work Practice and MACS values and mission statement by role modelling.

Requirements of Care and Playful Learning Support Worker:
• Childcare experience is required, experience can be gained through
employment, childminding / babysitting (out with family), volunteering within
organisations i.e., Scouts, BB, Girl Guides, Sport Coaching etc
• Must be able to provide at least 1 Childcare Reference (out with family)
• Committed to continuous professional learning in line with regulatory bodies
• Registered or willing to register with SSSC and meet appropriate security and
reference checks


Rate of Pay: £11.45 per hour
