Summary

Salary: up to £37,000 per annum

Contract: 12-Month (Maternity Cover) Fixed-Term Contract

Come and join the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) as our new Editorial Delivery Manager. You'll play a crucial role in our Editorial department at RPS, ensuring all our PhP products and services are backed by high-quality content. You'll manage a team of expert content creators, supporting their development and steering them towards success.

In this role, you'll be the driving force behind our editorial delivery, prioritising, allocating, and monitoring day-to-day work in line with our publishing objectives. You'll also coordinate with other managers, fostering cross-team collaboration and ensuring simultaneous publication of content.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the People and Delivery Manager, who is responsible for editorial delivery within the team.
Track and report editorial delivery against deadlines and targets.
Coordinate with other managers to ensure resource sharing and simultaneous publication.
Display initiative, pragmatic problem-solving skills, and adaptability.

Requirements:

Proven ability to manage and motivate teams.
Experience in planning, monitoring and driving editorial delivery.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Awareness of how medicines information is used in healthcare.
Experience in healthcare publishing or medical communications is a plus.

Pharmaceutical Press is the knowledge business of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. We’re the world leaders in evidence-based pharmaceutical publications and guidance. Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals trust us to provide expert analysis, educational support, webinars, and news that informs, supports and enhances their practice. We independently source, evaluate, and communicate and make practical medicines knowledge accessible worldwide. In the Publishing Directorate, the following teams work collaboratively to provide our world-class products: the Journals team; the Sales and Marketing team; the Technology team; the Product team and the Editorial team (in which this role sits).

How we are currently working

RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home, however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4-8 working days per month at our London Office.
