Summary
Prospero Health and Social Care are looking for Support Worker's across Tameside to join our team on a temporary basis to provide support to children and families in crisis. We work alongside local authorities and help put in place with temporary ongoing packages of support for vulnerable children and families. This holistic approach offers consistency to both support staff and families, to ensure fulfilment and stability.
Prospero are looking for Support Workers who are:
- Flexible and suited to a range of shifts - long days, waking nights, 24-hour sleep-ins.
- Proactive in helping with crisis intervention.
- Interested in working in both community outreach and support within the family home.
- Suitable to help vulnerable children and families during school holidays.
- Able to help families with busy daily routines: school pick up's & drop offs, mealtimes, etc.
The Support Worker role will involve:
- Providing respite to children and families, taking children out into the community.
- Offering support to families under child protection plans; safeguarding, modeling and supporting healthy routines.
- Empowering parents and provide practical parenting advice.
- Offering a safe space for children and young people to relax, have fun and have a break from family life.
- Documenting observations correctly.
What we need to register you:
- Relevant experience within this role or similar.
- A full child and adult DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one.
- A full UK driver's license is preferred, but not essential.
- Somebody proactive and passionate about helping children and families in crisis.
