UHBW is undertaking an ambitious Programme of work to deliver a range of state-of-the-art clinical IT solutions across the Trust to fully digitize our patient record and provide Clinical staff with fast, simple, and controlled access to patient data for clinical use in patient care and service optimization.

We are now looking for a Clinical Systems Support Officer / Registration Authority Agent to join the team to help us deliver on our ambitions as a Global Digital Exemplar to make UHBW one of the country’s leading digital hospitals within a health and care community that has embraced integrated digital working at a fundamental level.

The successful candidate will also be required to assist and help with the production of new user accounts for smartcards which give access to the Electronic Staff Record and clinical systems.

Excellent communication skills and close attention to detail are required for this customer facing role, you will need to be able to adapt to a very challenging workload and the need to prioritise and “think outside the box” as the work/users requirements demands, together with the ability to understand issues raised and manage them through to resolution. You will be a team player but also required to work on your own initiative.

To contribute to the provision of the Trusts Systems User Support / Back Office function for all clinical and non-clinical systems which predominantly include but are not limited to:
• Trust Patient Administration Systems
• Trust Clinical Systems
• Support clinical and non-clinical staff assistance
• Configuration in Patient Administration Systems
• Provide a service for the Registration Authority

To contribute to the support of other new systems as these come on stream, together with system upgrades as these are deployed.

The post’s primary focus is to provide a comprehensive Clinical Systems Support service for the Trust and its users. The post holder will be responsible for creating clinical system user accounts and providing online user support queries in a number of systems:-
• Careflow EPR
• Evolve Scanning
• ICE
• Maternity
• Back Office reports
• Careflow Vitals

Although this post will predominantly be based at Digital Services, Southwell Street, Bristol there maybe the occasional requirement to work at the Weston site.
