Summary


This role requires the post holder to provide an efficient and comprehensive clerical and administrative service for the department. This will include maintaining patient related records/databases, making appointments and preparing correspondence.

There are two roles available one working with the Mansfield Local Mental Health Team at 3 Heather Close, Mansfield, Notts, NG185QL & the other working with the Ashfield Local Mental Health team at the Millfields Centre, Millbrook Mental Health Unit, Mansfield Road, Nottinghamshire, NG17 4JT.

You will work as part of a team providing clerical and administrative support.

Where required, you will participate in the provision of a welcoming and confidential reception service to clients, staff and visitors.
• To carry out all aspects of clerical and administrative support.
• Maintain health care records including computerised systems and databases.
• Reception duties including monitoring patients & visitor attendance, dealing with telephone enquiries and incoming mail.
• To received and make internal and external telephone calls from staff, service users/patients, members of the public and external agencies ensuring that messages received are appropriately signposted and actioned.
• Type correspondence, as required.
• Co-ordinating healthcare appointments for patients.
• Word process correspondence including letters, memos and typing reports.
• May be required to take notes/minutes at team meetings.
• Filing and photocopying, scan and attaching documents.
• To implement and maintain adequate filing and follow up systems.
• Transfer of individual and bulk files for archiving between locations.
• Input clinical data and maintain.
• Identify health and safety practices that are appropriate to self and others.
• To participate in appropriate training courses and updates in accordance with mandatory requirements and undertake personal development plan 'My Annual Review'.
• Working as a team to provide cover for sickness and annual leave, as and when required.
• To undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of the role.
