Summary
As an apprentice at Barks 'n Bubbles, you will be an integral part of the team.
You will be assisting with washing, drying, brushing and combing dogs. You will learn how to to clip, shave, and style fur according to breed standards or pet owner's requests. Trimming nails, cleaning ears, teeth and checking for signs of infection.
Identifying any potential health concerns like skin conditions, parasites, or ear infections and bringing them to the owner's attention. Consulting with pet owners to understand their desired grooming style and specific needs for their dog. Communicating with clients about their pet's grooming experience, booking appointments, updating client records, Answering the phone, responding to messages, using social media. And always maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment and equipment.
Training
All training will be provided on
site during your paid working hours.
Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination
of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training
Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
A GCSE or equivalent pass in English
and maths is beneficial but not essential.
If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your
Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
Skills required
No grooming experience required as full training will be given.
Must be confident with answering the phone and using a computer (for social media).
Prospects

Duration 15 months
