Summary
Layham Hall are looking to take on an apprentice equine groom. The are a top class private dressage training stable. Head trainer is international Grand Prix rider/ trainer.
You will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of 5* care of horses including physiotherapy and TRT method of horse handling.
Duties to include (but not be limited to);
Mucking out
Feeding
tacking up
turning out/ bringing in
and any other reasonable duties.
Training
All training provided at the employer premises, with the employer and Haddon Training.
Qualifications required
No specific qualifications required, however you may need to work towards gaining your functional skills level 2 if not already achieved.
Skills required
Common sense
Ability to take instruction
Physically fit
Prospects
There may be an opportunity to become head groom on the yard and also gain your HGV licence.
Qualification / Standard : ST0166 Equine groom
Duration 15 months
