Summary

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Room Leader to work with a wonderful team based at Atherton House School in Crosby. This is a full time post for 40 hour per week all year round.

The nursery has an outstanding reputation in the local community and is in a prime location with excellent commuter links including Blundellsands & Crosby train station less than 1/2 mile away.

The ideal candidate must be able to bring a sense of awe and wonder, making it a fun and magical day for the children.

Except for occasional training you are not required to work evening or weekends. The setting is closed on all bank holidays, we also do not open on Christmas Eve!! The nursery closes over Christmas until the first working day in the New Year.

The Room Leader’s main duties
Plan, prepare and support the smooth running of a creative and playful curriculum with colleagues in line with The Early Years Foundation Stage.
Conduct baseline assessments and age appropriate assessments based on children’s individual development.
Support children’s settling in visits, inductions, and room transitions.
Communicate with parents/carers about their child’s development and keep them involved.
Support and mentor team members with their Continual Professional Development.

Key Skills
Must be Childcare Level 3 qualified (Essential)
Experience working as a Room Leader (Desirable)
Good knowledge of EYFS (Essential)
Good knowledge of safeguarding (Essential)
Minimum 1 year room leader experience (Desirable)
Minimum 2 years' leadership experience (Desirable)
