Summary

Support Worker - Waking Nights (Drivers Required)

NOT TRAVELLING FROM ONE HOUSE TO THE NEXT - SHIFTS ARE IN ONE LOCATION ONLY
Block pay for minimum 8.5 hours per shift (£13.92 per hour weeknights - £14.12 weekend nights)
Shifts: FULL-Time and Part-Time available - detailed rosters to be discussed at interview
No experience needed – FULL TRAINING GIVEN

About the role

The role of a Support Worker - Waking Nights is extremely rewarding and on each shift you will make a positive difference to the life of a young man who lives at home with his loving family. He is very laid back and enjoys lively conversation with his support workers - he is a natural communicator and loves to chat! He is studying gaming at college and would like to make this a career eventually as well as moving into his own home with support.

He loves the cinema, walking the dogs and watching his favourite shows on the TV (which include Marvel and DC)... and he loves to get out and about, so you will need to be a driver who is confdent enought to drive the Motability vehicle that is provided. He wants to build his confidence with community access so he can be more independent away from his parents.

About You

• You MUST be a confident driver with a valid full driving licence or equivalent as you may be required to drive the Motability vehicle with the client
• You'll have an understanding of anxiety and person centred care to enable a physically disabled person to lead an independent fulfilling life.
• You’ll make a real relationship with him and finish each shift with satisfaction that you’ve added real value.

Advantageous:

- Experience in providing care, whether this be in a professional setting or to a family member or friend, although full training is provided
