Summary
Job Overview:
Act as a representative of Mitie and Sellafield carrying out work as detailed by the Head of Compliance.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner in support of our customers and work colleagues
Operational responsibility to deliver a first class service meeting the required MITIE QHSE / BMS policies and Mitie Water internal policies in relation to compliance for our customers.
Provide support in order to maintain Mitie Water professional memberships and accreditations including Legionella Control Association
To ensure all works are delivered on time and to the agreed specification
Provide technical support to the Sellafield service delivery team and sub contractors
Provide support to site admin team
Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by the Head of Compliance
Take responsibility for your own training needs and bring them to the attention of the Head of Compliance
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, specific company requirements approved by the Health & Safety Executive and the latest regulations and codes of good practice.
Main Duties:
Ensure every water system has a legionella risk assessment
Compile, update and review the areas covered by the risk assessment and ensure it encompasses all risks (domestic and process water). Provide a schedule of legionella susceptible water systems for the area of responsibility SLF 2.04.401_01
Arranging and reviewing legionella risk assessments
Compile area of responsibility for all tasks ensuring ownership and ensure ownership and accountability
Request new risk assessment when it is identified that the current LRA is no longer valid
Arrangements to undertake legionella risk assessments including preparation of work packs, removal of panel to expose pipework, collate relevant schematics, and ensure current and valid.
Compile and review written scheme of work, upload into Archibus for scheduled prompts and ensure compliant delivery by appointed legionella service provider.
Review monitoring records/reports from legionella service provider and action accordingly, escalate where necessary and liaise with relevant stakeholders to manage effectively.
Review data and trend the findings to identify patterns in water quality.
Ensure non-conformances are entered on Archibus and reported on the client action system to initiate, track and close out in a timely manner.
Attend relevant meetings including weekly legionella meeting, monthly responsible person updates, and quarterly legionella forum.
Annual service contractor meetings with Legionella service provider as required under LCA recommendations
Requesting, tracking and closing out changes in PPM, new remedial/reactive work orders and project works to ensure
Liaison with building managers to identify when changes in water systems are planned to change. Stakeholder involvement, updating log book with relevant detail including building schematics and revised/updated LRA
Prepare legionella log book audit schedule to give documentation assurance
What we are looking for:
Understanding of Legionella bacteria, water systems, required monitoring & records, legislation and regulations
Knowledge of Water Risk Assessments on water systems including domestic, cooling towers & process systems.
Knowledge & experience of steam generation systems and testing requirements
