Then look no further as my well-established client is looking out for an ambitious Senior Civil Engineer, with relevant UK experience of minimum 4+ years' within the drainage and/or highways sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities:

- Developing designs and plans for drainage systems, including stormwater management, sewer systems, culverts, etc. for high-rise mix-use urban redevelopments.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations whilst preparing environmental impact assessments, and adhering to relevant codes and standards.
- Working and collaborating with Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFAs).
- Producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) independently.
- Design and checks of retaining walls, external works and slab designs during tendering & construction processes.
- Eventually, managing and mentoring other engineers and technicians in the development of design and project information.
- Independently leading on a wide range of projects involving client liaison, financial and quality management.
- Utilizing relevant drainage design softwares, including Microdrainage, Civils 3D, AutoCAD, etc.
- Preparing detailed reports, drawings, and technical documentation related to drainage projects.
- Be an optimistic, ambitious presence within the office

Successful candidate specifications:

- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering (i.e. BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng/etc.)
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with the Engineering Council UK is highly desirable.
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience designing development infrastructure, particularly in drainage. Experience on residential projects, particularly sustainable inner city developments, would be preferable.
- Experience producing and writing up Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), independently and unsupervised.
- Experience working and collaborating with Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFAs)
- Management experience of other engineers and technicians over a range of projects on design development information is preferrable.
- A good technical background and grounding in the design of drainage, flood risk assessments (FRAs), retaining walls, external works and bulk earthworks.
- Working towards attaining Chartership status, if not already achieved.
- Experience of the following computer packages is essential: Microdrainage, Civils 3D and AutoCAD for drainage networks
