Band 7 – Practice Development Midwife supporting International Midwives
Fixed Term Contract for 1 year - Full and part time hours
The maternity service at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are looking for additional practice development midwives to support our internationally recruited workforce.

The postholder will be a highly motivated and experienced clinical midwife who will focus on the provision of leadership and clinical advice to support and promote excellence in safe, evidenced-based practice for our international midwives. The postholder will assist the service in supporting our international midwives in clinical practice, developing their confidence and competence as well as their transition to working in the UK. The post holder will work closely with the Practice Development Team, providing teaching, support and pastoral care to Internationally Educated and Recruited Midwives (IEM) throughout their pre-registration and Preceptorship period.
In addition, the postholder will support the Maternity unit in its training and development programmes for all clinical staff.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
