An opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the passionate and dedicated team at a small animal practice in the Birmingham area. This role can be full-time or part-time and either solely located in their branch GP practice or combined with days working at their hospital site.

They know that work-life balance is vital in supporting their people to be their best selves. Whether you need reduced working days/hours for hobbies, need to do the school drop off/pick up or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern, they can fix or flex our patterns to suit you. Typically, full-time hours will consist of working 4 days a week between 9am and 7pm with 1 in 4 Saturdays from 9am - 4pm. There are no OOHs with this role. A typical working day would consist of 15-minute consultations with a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse on hand at all times. There would also be up to 3 hours of routine surgery a day, such as neutering, lump removals and dentals, if desired.

They are well-equipped with a CT scanner, digital X-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, Idexx lab, digital microscope, endoscope, laparoscopic kit and much more. They are also a training practice for Student Veterinary Nurses. Working at the hospital would enable you to undertake more detailed medical work and surgery alongside their team of Certificate Holders/Advanced Practitioners, who are happy to offer plenty of help, support and discussion for clinical development and activity. This allows you to also book your own cases in for your hospital day to work up with support and greater access to equipment.

The branch practice is very well located just 10 mins from the M5, making it easily accessible from all areas of the Wolverhampton, Dudley, Birmingham and Kidderminster areas. Birmingham Airport is also just a 40 minute drive away. This role offers you the chance to live and work in one of the UK's most vibrant and diverse cities where you can immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry and a plethora of recreational activities, from shopping in bustling markets to exploring green spaces and historic landmarks.
