Our client is a mixed animal practice serving Staffordshire and the surrounding counties in the Midlands, with five branches in the area. Their small animal, large animal and equine departments run separately from each other, and they have designated teams at each practice. All of their practices are individuals, but two important things bring them together; a commitment to excellence in everything they do.

The site you will be working at is a busy, purpose-built practice offering a varied and exciting caseload. The practice is well equipped with laparoscopy, ultrasound, flexible endoscopy, ophthalmic surgical microscope, dental x-ray, in-house lab and much more. The established team includes several certificate holders within the practice (2 x medicine, 1 x surgical, 2 x ophthalmology, with a further 3 Vets studying towards feline medicine and surgery certificates) and experienced vets established at the practice for many years. Certificate study and/or certificate holders welcomed.

They are all animal owners and take pride in providing a caring, compassionate, and friendly service to all their clients. The team have high clinical standards, and everyone is striving for clinical excellence. They all support each other and often discuss clinical cases, and the Vet teams are supported by experienced and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN) and a wonderful front-of-house team.

This is an amazing opportunity for vet wanting to do great clinical work, but also take a leadership role within an experienced team. You will be well supported by the Clinical Director and current lead vet, so the role would suit someone with desire to develop their leadership skills but who may need the support. You will have excellent clinical, communication, teamwork, and mentoring skills, experience in quality improvement involvement and the opportunity to have say, raise ideas, work through problems, ensure financial success and the happiness of your teams. They are looking for a Lead Vet who can build long-term relations with their clients to offer the best care to fit with clients and animal's needs. You will set exemplary standards of care and help ensure consistency in client and patient care.

You will be working in Staffordshire, a county nestled in the heart of England that is steeped in history and natural beauty. Renowned for its picturesque countryside, it boasts the stunning Peak District National Park, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with its rolling hills, limestone dales, and charming villages. Staffordshire boasts a diverse and efficient transport network that facilitates seamless connectivity across the region. Its strategic location in the heart of England is complemented by an extensive road network, including major routes like the M6, A50, and A38, ensuring easy access to neighboring counties and cities. The railway network is robust, with several key stations like Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, and Lichfield providing connections to major cities such as Birmingham, Manchester, and London.
