Our client is a renowned RCVS accredited small animal hospital located in a charming market town in Leicestershire. They are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a full-time basis.

The town boasts fantastic shopping, excellent travel connections, picturesque buildings, beautiful country pubs, and a well-heeled vibe.

Our client is a long-established Tier-3, RCVS accredited Veterinary Hospital and a leading Equine Hospital in the East Midlands. They have also achieved Gold status as an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic.

As a Small Animal Vet, you will become an integral part of their experienced and dedicated team. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver a first-class, first opinion veterinary service, supported by a team of fully qualified and experienced nursing and clinical professionals. You will have the clinical freedom to follow and work up cases to a high standard, making a positive impact from day one and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

The hospital offers a wide and varied surgical and medical caseload, supported by state-of-the-art equipment including Laparoscopy and Endoscopy, Digital Radiography, CT scanner, ECG, Ultrasound, and a full In-House Laboratory. This environment provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.

You will be working alongside a dynamic team of professionals, including 8 Vets with certificate holders in cardiology, surgery/orthopaedics, dentistry, and internal medicine. The team also includes 10 registered veterinary nurses (including 3 night registered veterinary nurses and advanced certificate holders), 2 student nurses, 3 hospital assistants, and 12 customer care staff.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a passion for delivering high-quality veterinary care. An interest in future progression is crucial, as our client values professional development and continuous learning.

The Rota:
• Full time role - 40 hour working week
• 4 - 5 day week
• On call rota for in-patients only - one night per week and 1:5 weekends (Friday - Sunday with TOIL)
• The weekend consists of Saturday 8:30am-5pm and Sunday 8am-12pm and is a mixture of consults, inpatient checks and emergencies
• Part time applications will be considered
