Summary


We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and flexible admin support and receptionist. The role is based at Colchester Hospital and the successful post holder will be working within a very demanding but rewarding environment and will need to be flexible.

Providing the best service to our patients is vital and you will therefore need to be passionate about patient care and customer service. The role will consist of booking patients in and out in an efficient and sensitive manner via the electronic kiosks via In-touch, ensuring all clinic outcomes are recorded in an efficient and timely manner, and notifying G.P.s and/or other referrers into the service of patient D.N.A.s (did not attends).You will also be required to assist the secretarial and admissions team of ENT & Oral surgery as and when needed.

You will have previous experience working in a customer facing environment preferably within the NHS and will possess good organisational and communication skills in order to liaise with various areas internally and external to the Trust.

• To provide a friendly and effective service to patients who visit the clinic.
• To support the team, including clinical with administrative duties.
• To ensure a high standard of administrative service is consistently delivered by undertaking all required tasks and activities on a daily basis.
• To utilise the required technology / hospital systems including Big Hand / Evolve / Careflow / Intouch and any other new technology or system(s) that are introduced and support other team members to do so to deliver an efficient administrative service.
• To reconcile clinic outcome forms in the agreed timeframe.
• To undertake responsibility for the generic email system ensuring that these are dealt with in a timely manner.
• To phone patients for appointments.
