Interim Chartered Surveyor – Property Services

Job Ref: Portsmouth 5247320

Pay Rate: £237.32 per day PAYE

Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 4 months

City: Gosport, Hampshire

Hybrid working – 3 days a week in the office

The Chartered surveyors will be involved in a range of projects, from planning high-tech housing and creating vibrant workplaces to playing a key role in sustainable developments.

Key Responsibilities:

Examining buildings for structural defects.
Undertake mainly landlord and tenant work, lease renews, open market rent reviews and full range of GP surveying duties.
Providing valuations for property and other asset types.
Offering expert advice on environmental issues and construction.
Measuring and collecting data on specific areas of land, including information about boundaries, buildings and features, both natural and man-made.
Providing an accurate report of the potential impact of any development or engineering works.
Making sure that the financial position of construction projects is accurately reported and controlled effectively.
Managing the contractual relationships between the various parties involved in any building project.

Qualifications:

Educated to Degree level or equivalent in an Estates Management of similar discipline.
Chartered Member of RICS.



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Experience in influencing and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders and customer.
Experience of inputting into and supporting the delivery of service budgets and delivering outputs to meet corporate financial targets.
Experience of dealing with complex and high-profile property cases Experience of identifying and driving commercial opportunities from property assets.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
