Summary

Job Overview
-Delivery of best in class drawing office management

-Delivery of best in class space planning management

-Ownership and updating of all client M&E and space drawings

-Management of robust drawing management database

-Implement new tools/systems as they become available

-Client communications and reporting

-Client / interal relationships, staff development and welfare



Main Duties

-Own accountability for the management of the Drawing Office & Space Planning team and associated activity

-Act as the subject matter expert for Drawing Office & Space Planning requirements

-Maintain a robust process for the routine updates to all building services related drawings

-Maintain a robust process and associated audit schedule for reviewing and updating of building occupancy drawings

-Outside of your management duties provide additional CAD resource for updating building services drawings

-Develop excellent working relationships with the ROM's, TSM's and Project Managers across all UK sites

-Develop excellent working relationship the client team who interact with the Drawing Office & Space Planning function.

-Proactively manage health and safety performance by undertaking regular safety walks and engagement with your team and associated sub-contractors

-Routinely review best practice and associated systems and tools in drawing office management and present robust business cases for implementation

-Supply internal and external customers with any data/drawing requests in a timely manner

-To build excellent pro-active stakeholder relationships wicth key client stakeholders

-Lead the team by example, promoting values and development opportunities

-To understand and comply with company policies and procedures

-To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures

-To complete technical and health & safety audits across the UK

-To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required

To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as requiredWhat we are looking for
-Excellent technical knowledge of the latest CAD software

-Long-term background in producing and updating building services drawings including M&E services

-Proven background of maintaining drawing management databases in a robust manner

-Holds relevant professional, technical or management qualifications or experience

-Management experience with ability to lead teams effectively

-Excellent technical knowledge of M&E, building services and industry best practice

-Excellent knowledge and track record in QHSE / Risk management

-Strong and effective communication skills and good people manager

-Good knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation

-Open minded, continual improvement focussed and provides evidence of implementing innovative solutions

-Able to represent Mitie effectively at both internal and external meetings

-Passionate about Mitie and their role at the BBC
