Hays are representing a leading Northern Irish hospitality organisation to recruit an Events Manager in Belfast.


Your new role
As Events Manager, you will be responsible for managing the hotel event's team to achieve departmental goals, customer satisfaction objectives and revenue targets.
Responsibilities include:

  • Operational Oversight: Directing daily activities within the department.
  • Resource Allocation: Guaranteeing adequate resources for a high-volume sales and events division, ensuring prompt response to all forms of enquiries and fulfilment of client meetings.
  • Information Management: Collecting, organising, and distributing information pertinent to weekly organisational gatherings.
  • Event Showcasing: Facilitating showcases for various client segments, including matrimonial, leisure, corporate, and conference attendees.
  • Market-Driven Offerings: Developing services based on market analysis that cater to the needs of clients seeking venues for weddings, conferences, and social events.
  • Sales Process Enhancement: Aiding in the entire sales cycle, from initiation and follow-up to conversion, with a focus on revenue growth and fostering customer loyalty.
  • Event Coordination: Overseeing the execution of confirmed events by the event management team.
  • Internal Communication: Ensuring all departments are informed about upcoming events.
  • Financial Oversight: Completing all financial dealings and securing revenue collection for services rendered.
  • Client Relations: Maintaining ongoing client engagement, gathering feedback, and sharing insights with pertinent departments to refine services and generate future business opportunities.
  • Performance Reporting: Delivering regular reports on revenue and departmental objectives to upper management.
  • Team Development: Fostering the professional growth of team members.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Educated in hospitality/events management
  • 2+ years events experience within the hospitality industry
  • Experience in team management/supervision
  • IT proficiency
  • Reporting and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

What you'll get in return
