Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team of a growing portfolio of hotels across the UK and Ireland. It will suit a proactive, ambitious person who is creative and passionate about social media and brand development.

This role is located at the Grand Hotel Brighton. First opened in 1864, this iconic hotel occupies a prime location on Brighton’s seafront with unobstructed views over the English Channel. The seven floor hotel has 204 rooms, including seaside facing balcony bedrooms and luxury suites, a restaurant and bar and a dedicated meeting and banqueting space.

The role primarily involves overseeing the organic social strategy and implementation for the hotel as well as Marketing and PR projects.

Key responsibilities of the Marketing Executive:


  • Work with wider hotel and marketing team to develop and execute the marketing plan including PR and social campaigns including.

  • End-to-end organic social media strategy and management for The Grand channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn etc. Oversee strategy and management for locally managed social media channels.

  • Content ideation and creation, from capturing imagery to designing graphics, with a particular focus on video for Reels and Stories.

  • Work with PR agencies to oversee the implementation of the groups’ Influencer Marketing programme to ensure that the group is engaging appropriate Social Media influencers and amplifying the brand messaging.

  • Manage the customer databases and the email communication with the database.

  • Ensure any marketing material at the hotels meets the brand standards.

  • Build relationships with various relevant partners in Brighton.




Our ideal Marketing Executive will have:


  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar social media and marketing role, preferably in a hospitality organisation.

  • Expert knowledge of all leading social media sites, including their algorithms.

  • Experience and evidence of creative, engaging and platform-tailored content creation for social media.

  • Degree in Marketing, Communication Studies, Journalism, Creative Writing, or similar.

  • Flexible and engaging writing style.

  • Experience in Influencer Marketing.

  • Strong eye for detail and a passion for luxury brands

  • An ability to work proactively and independently in a busy role.
