Summary
Our client is Well Established Engineering company based in Redditch,
JOB: Power press setter
Pay: £14.00 +
Area: Redditch
Hours: Hours of work are Mon-Fri 8am to 16.30 pm
They are looking for a skilled power press setter with experience with Chin fong and Bruderer presses to join their establishment.
You will need to be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and develop components, working to deadlines and targets without the need for constant supervision. Ability to carry out a wide range of Manual and Mechanical tasks that are appropriate to the role. Ideally have a keen interest in Engineering and want to progress and develop your career. A background in the Metal Industry whilst not essential would be advantage
Day to day duties
Setting and operation of Chin Fong Presses
* Adherence to Quality procedures including 1st offs and last offs
* Quality checks
* Understanding and adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures
* Maintenance and care of Machinery and tooling
* Be an active member of the Manufacturing team.
* Contribute in Improvements and Objectives
skills required
* Setting power presses
* Loading coils to keep machines running
* Changing tooling for next job
* Working from engineering drawings
* Working to tight deadlines
* Checking off paper signing off for first off inspection
As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
* Previous power press experience from 40 to 160 ton
* Must have an up-to-date R.O.S.P
* Experience changing tooling's (Essential)
* Experience working with chin Fong and HME power presses (Essential)
* Must be able to work on own initiative (Essential)
Manufacturing Workforce are responsible for placing skilled and in demand people on both a permanent and contract basis into the Engineering, Technical and Manufacturing sectors, from skilled Shop Floor Personnel and Specialist Engineers to Supervisory and Management positions.
