Summary


We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic cyber engineer to join our infrastructure team. The team are responsible for all ICT infrastructure within the trust – including networks, server, and storage.

The post will be based at our Trust Headquarters with scope for flexible working, although the post holder will be required to be mobile to support our staff across Yorkshire and Humber.

The post holder will primarily be responsible for monitoring all ICT systems to maintain the effectiveness and compliance for cyber security. Acting as an escalation point for incidents and investigating complex technical issues.

You should be able to work autonomously as well as part of the infrastructure team.

Support of all systems and the ability to drive to all bases in the Yorkshire region in order to provide an effective ICT service.

The post holder will be responsible for:
• As a member of the Infrastructure Team, you will monitor Cyber Security systems and work with colleagues and third parties to review compliance with best practice.
• You will respond to vulnerabilities and threats identified from vulnerability scans to reduce the likelihood of Cyber Security risks.
• Responsible for recording, actioning, and where appropriate escalating all alerts for cyber security incidents, including CareCerts.
• You will act as an escalation point for Cyber Security incidents and provide advice and knowledge to support the service operations as well as assisting with Cyber Security training packages for both the teams and organisation in order to develop a culture of Cyber Security awareness.
• You will be expected to assist in the development and improvement of security processes and practices along with proactive monitoring and reviewing of security incidents and alerts.
• Investigate complex technical issues and enquiries providing assistance and advice as required.
• Continually monitor service performance, taking timely and effective action to ensure agreed performance levels are maintained or exceeded.
• Keep abreast of industry developments, providing ICT service advice to inform strategic business planning.
• Work closely with the Infrastructure and Voice Communications Manager as part of the ICT team and work closely with IT colleagues to ensure the delivery of day-to-day IT services and support the implementation of the Trust’s digital strategy.
• The post-holder will be required to assist in delivering Trust projects and to manage specific ICT projects.
• Support of all infrastructure systems (including as part of an out of hours rota).
