Summary

A Vacancy at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

The Vascular Laboratory in West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to recruit an experienced Clinical Vascular Scientist to join our friendly and dynamic team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to contribute and improve our patient-centered service. Ideally, the post holder will have vascular scanning clinical experience post SVT accreditation/equivalent qualifications.

The Vascular Laboratory provides a full range of non-invasive ultrasound vascular examinations. We carry out carotid, peripheral arterial and venous assessments including DVT scans in addition to EVAR and lower limb extremity revascularisation duplex surveillance scans.

The Vascular Lab is based in Watford General Hospital and consists at present of two scanning rooms equipped with new Philips EPIQ systems. There are five full time and part-time Vascular Scientists, two Trainee Vascular Scientists together with administrative support staff. We work alongside four Vascular Surgeons, Vascular Interventional Radiologists, and a specialist Vascular Nurse.

This position is full time but part-time hours will also be considered.

We are looking for a motivated Vascular Scientist with excellent communication skills to provide a high quality service to our patients and trainees. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop and utilise your vascular ultrasound skills and actively participate in the running of the department.
