Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Planning and Delivery:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Key Stage 4 and 5 Business Studies classes.
  • Create a dynamic learning environment that fosters critical thinking and practical application of business concepts.
  • Key Stage 5 Economics For suitable candidates, offer Key Stage 5 Economics classes, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Conduct regular assessments to gauge student understanding and progress.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student development.
  • Individualised Support
  • Identify and address the diverse learning needs of students, offering additional support where necessary.
  • Encourage independent research and project work to enhance students' analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Incorporate Real-world Examples:
  • Integrate practical, real-world examples into lessons, connecting theoretical concepts to current business practices.
  • Classroom Management:
  • Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a focused and respectful atmosphere.
  • Parental Communication:
  • Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
  • Collaborate with parents to support students' academic and personal growth.
  • Professional Development:
  • Stay informed about developments in business and economic education.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.


Requirements:

  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Teaching Experience:
  • Proven experience in teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Familiarity with the Key Stage 5 Economics curriculum (if offering)
  • Communication Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Adaptability:
  • Flexibility to tailor teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Willingness to contribute to the broader school community and ethos.
